    Odd Question, need help !

I am hoping that someone could help me out here. I'm picking up a 1972 Series III in the next two weeks. I found a company that reproduces any country's license plates. I want UK plates that represent a Rover from Solihull. BUT, being that I'm an American I know nothing about UK license plates and have no idea what letters & number should be included. Added to the confusion is the smaller rear square UK plate with less digits than the front plate.

Any Brits out there that can help me out ????

    Thanks

Did someone invent a time machine? I could swear we were on page 2 of this thread yesterday. ...Or did I dream it?....

Hi Mark, yeah really! You, Greenmeanie, Ike and I had some great input on that! Looks like there was a burp in the mySQL server on our hosts end and most of yesterdays posts are NLA? I'll dig into the DB and see what I can find. I was notified of an issue at 5:45am today, but immediately checked (well at 8am) and everything looked ok and was running fine? This is backed up twice daily and I usually pull a backup during the middle of the day too at RN. I'll have to check on Monday, last backup I've got here at home is 3.18.2009.

yes, the mySQL had a blip, and the server hosts needed to pull a back up . Sorry for the inconvenience, I can look into this in more detail on Monday.

                Andrew, where are you?

The front plate, is white, and all digits are in one line
The rear plate is yellow, and more square with the same digits as the front plate, but in two rows.
Cuurent plates begin with a letter which indicates the year of first reg, but in the 70s it could like have been 3 letters, followed by 3 numerals.
There are lots of companies that make these plates up. There was a thread going awhile ago, and someone posted a link to a company. I thought RN also made them up
