    Military vs Civilian Specs

What are the differences between a military and a civilian spec 2.5L NA diesel engine? Thanks in advance,
    Jim

Jim, I don't believe that there are too many significant differences. My ex-MoD 2.5 had an enormous 24v alternator mounted above the injector pump, so it has the holes for the mount cast into the timing case, but I'm not even sure that they ALL didn't have these holes cast in.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot about the oil cooler--There are 2 oil lines that run from the oil filter mount on the right side of the engine block to the oil cooler in front of the rad on MoD 2.5s. There is a thermostatically-controlled valve that sends oil to the cooler after it gets hot enough. I don't believe that ALL civilian 2.5s had this, but don't quote me.
