    throw out bearing replacement

I think I actually asked this before, but I haven't replaced it yet in spite of the screaming noise it's making...

109 4cyl - can I get away with just cheating the bell housing back from the motor and changing the bearing without pulling the motor?

Not 100% sure but I think you would have to remove or loosen enough stuff to move it back enough that you might not be far from taking the tranny out all together.

      SIII or SII ???
A SIII might have enough room to slide the trans back?
If you have an OD that might have to be removed?

SII I believe the trans will have to come out.

Given all the stuff you'd have to unbolt on the gearbox, it would be easier to move the engine forward.
