    2" Exhaust question

Just took Lucas to the local Midas shop for the 2" exhaust estimate. They said they couldn't make it 2" all the way to the manifold because the flange isn't big enough....is that the case? I have an old manifold and it looks like you can do it - close but possible.

    Thanks

my custom exhaust was going to be 2" but i went w/ 1 3/4" with a 12" flexible off the manifold. it's a stainless steel woven thing welded to a piece of the old pipe that was bolted to the manifold. done mostly to reduce the stress on the old manifold. my exhaust man had no issue doing a 2" but we both agreed that it might reduce the back pressure too much. i also went with a performance muffler (less restrictive) that's inside the frame to the left side of the rear prop shaft. this leaves the area behind my rear cross mbr free for the air tanks i want to instal

Isn't the NRP setup that our host sells a 2" kit? That seems to bolt up without any issues.
