replacing lug studs

After 2 hours of a 4 hour ride it seems my lugs came loose.... Ah nothing like camping in a farmers field in the middle of nowehere overnight....


I have 2 stripped lug studs and am missing one stud on a real wheel.

I am wondering if they can be replaced or does the whole hub/wheel need to be replaced? They don't seem to be the type that can be taped in from behind the hub.

Are they threaded in from the outside of the hub? Any tips on removing the stripped lug stud and lug nut?

If the hub needs to be replaced is it a relatively simple job?

If it's a IIa you could drill them out and put III studs in them. Maybe there is a better way, but that would likely work.
