Breaks

I'm sure that I am the only person bothered by this but...

When your land rover breaks then you need to fix it.

The things that are supposed to stop our rovers are the brakes. You might fix the brakes. You do not fix the breaks.

Now that I've gotten this off of my chest you can go about your business and ignore this information.

I thought using the term "breaks" was a clever way to describe Series LR stopping systems. Instead of saying "my brakes are broken... again", all you need to do is tell someone is "it's the breaks", and if they know their Series LR's at all they'll understand.

Another beef is "their" vs "they're" and "your" vs "you're".

If you're breaks aren't working rite you might need to blead them.

Ah but then we get into American english vs real english. Surely, given its manufacture, you should be asking what colour to paint your truck.

When my brakes break, I often break from breakdancing and enjoy breakfast prior to breaking out the breaker bar and breaking my knuckles on the break-in procedure.

Alternatively, once my brakes broke, I broke from the pack watching brokeback mountain and broke off my brokers brake pedal after his Rover repairs broke the bank.
