interference fitting Cyl. head to block 2.25L P

I'm trying to recall if there is a potential interferrence w/ the 2.25L cylinder head and the timing cover(?) if you've had either the head and/or the block deck surfaced? In my case, both the block and the head surfaces have been re-qualified.

My memory tells me I've read this somewhere, but I 've scaned my LR green bible and other Engine manuals and I didn't see it.

It's possible I'm just confused with facts from another vehicle.

    Fact or fiction?
