    Series Tire Confusion...

    Hello,
I was all set to buy some 16" NATO wheels and 235/85/16 tires for my SIII 88".

Now I came across a good deal for 16" NATO wheels with 7.5 R16.

I’ll be the first to admit, I know nothing about tires or sizes, my math is horrible as well.

So I need help, and preferably pics to make my choice and decision easier. What are the differences between these two sizes? Which are taller? Which are wider?

    Thanks again,

    Jeremy

When you say NATO wheels, are you referring to the 2 piece ones?

This thread should help you make a decision:

In short, The 235/85/ 16 are the way to go, as long as your rims will accomodate them. This is the modern size tire that roughly translates to what would have originally come on a 109.

No, one piece. I guess I should of said 16 inch Wolf wheel instead.

I personally dont like the look of the wolf wheels however I had them on an 88" I sold a couple years back and ran the 235/85/16 tires on them. I have pics if you need but are unable to post them on this board(ran out of post space)
