Guess it depends on the channel you are watching because a number of years ago I'd seen a program on the History Channel which was just about cars not specifically the Land Rover and the brief mention of Landys on that program stated that 40% of the world's populations first glimpse of an automobile was a Land Rover, if I remember correctly. Maybe it's just a difference in definition between world population and developing cultures. Statistics are good that way, they can always be made to fit what you want.

        Awesome video.

A friend just returned from a month long trip to SW Africa. I asked him about Land Rovers as he traveled many hours and miles in them to reach extremely remote areas on his trip. He said that some of the guides tried Toyota Land Cruisers but they fell apart after a few years. The Land Rover is still the Gold standard for remote transportation.

As a landowner who has to work his own land I guess that makes the Land Rover perfect for me!
