    Series 1

I also have a Series I. It is a 1955 86 (first registered in Canada in 1956)and is stock. Colour is blue and the hardtop is creme. It runs but has loose steering and the wiring is a total mess. When I can get to it it will have some corrections made.

This is my 58 series I 'PATINA' I'm in Rhode Island. She runs like a champ. I have a hard top that goes on in the winter and I'm currently seeking a soft top. She only comes out on dry days.

Well how do Brian. We're practically neighbours. I live one mountain range east of you. You might recognize this when I take my ser1 rig out to your neck of the woods.

I sure do. I remember seeing a green series I heading toward Nelson a few miles west of Balfour at about twilight a while back. Yours? Did you come over Grey Creek Pass?
          Cheers, Brian

              Howdy Brian,

Bronze Green Yes. At twilight, most likely. Over Gray Creek, not yet.

I really like your 86. I don't care who you are, it's impossible to not smile when you see that rover.

109 series 1's are quite rare. I too have a S1 109. Mine is a RHD ckd diesel that was originally sent to Australia and is now sitting in my garage awaiting restoration.

I don't care how much simpler, or better (in some respects) SI's are compared to II's, IIa's, or III's. I just can't get past the looks. They are the silliest looking thing on the road to me (surpassed only by the thing).

I have a '58 SI 88". Currently in the process of getting a new frame under it. It will have a 2.5 na in it when done. I have a $#!^pile of 2.0 motors, but none that function.
