    Railko Conversion

I'm also putting some axle cases from a 1958 88 onto my series one, and I need to convert them to railko. I was wondering how one can knock the splined shaft out of the arms? I have some swivel balls from a 1969 SIIA, but they have a strange gray plug-like thing in the top? how do I get this out? Just some questions that have come up recently!

The Splined pin is pressed into the arm and then pinned in place. If you clean them off you should be able to see the pin, it's about 1/8" in diameter. You carefully drill that out and then press out the spline and press in the Railco pin.
