The further we got into the trail the more complete the trucks were...some even having windshields intact and gauges still there.
Real interesting mix of vehicles, graders, track driven with runners all parked as they left them over 60 years ago.2006 LR3 HSE HD ~ daily driver

OK...heres a story. Last month I was back on one of the little sand roads that run through the woods here. These roads have been around since Colonial times. Im putting along in second low, about 4 mph....and ZOOMING around a bend...here comes this kid on an ATV. He stops all of 2 feet in front of my bumper...gets off like hes the angriest person on the face of the earth. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING BACK HERE YOU SHOULDNT EVEN BE BACK HERE YOU ALMOST HIT ME!!!!!!!!!!!"
Calmly I said, "Listen, this is a ROAD. Ive got a legal vehicle registered, tagged and insured. What about YOU?"
.........turns out he was an off duty cop. And he admitted...I was correct.Comment

I don't own an ATV, but If I ever do...I would hope I wouldn't suddenly come into thinking that all these trails are here for me only, and for me to ruin just because I can.. and incase I don't want to get my ATV wet or muddy (or me) I can run down the forest and blaze a new trail so it too can get rutted and muddy ..... oh yeah and I should leave my PBR and Bud light cans scattered around to mark my trail so I can find my way home after I'm buzzed. Oh then I can get a rhino w/ a two seater and a steering wheel an be allowed to ride places a Jeep or LR is not allowedComment

Same thing for me recently, side by side comes flying down the trail and locks up the brakes trying to stop without hitting me or spilling his beer. This is why I always keep my headlights on when I am in front, maybe, just maybe they will see me in time.

Yes. I make it a point now to always run trails with the high beams on. Also, my white side lites go on with the headlights.
Id really like to pump out "Rule Britannia" at 130 decibels from a huge roof mounted speaker also!Comment

Being the photographer in my gang, I don't have too many pix of my truck in action, but there are a few in existence.
This is one of my favourites. And before anybody asks, no that is not salt water. It's just good old Lake Ontario.

Nice Pic, Brett. I missed the James Bond movie where the 88 ragtop turns into a submarine and vise versa.--Mark
