Very rare Norwegian collection for sale
These Land Rovers are for sale at auction on Dec. 4 in Sandnes (a few miles from Stavanger) in Norway. It is about 90 cars (not all of Land Rovers) ranging from 1950 to 1970's.
A collector of rare Land Rovers and it is so sad that he has allowed a number of them to decay for years (for personal reasons, acc. NLRK forum) it does not improve matters, that they have been vandalized by some kids.
So if you have the money and would like a rare Land Rover, then this is a possibility not to be missed, but you must be prepared to pay big bucks for some of the very rare Land Rovers, because this auction has been rumored throughout the world.
In the picture below you can see how beautiful it was when he bought it a few years ago: (:
You can see the entire collection here
And the indoor part of the collection:
And no I do not have any personal interest in this.
Further information obtained at Namsfogden in Sandnes v / Juanita HÃ¥land (8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Norwegian time) 0047 51 68 42 10Comment

From looking at the site Lalo, looks like he's filed for bankruptcy. No wonder, owning that many trucks.
You'd have to be a real absentee owner or tone deaf not to be aware of that level of vandalism. Real shame this guy ever collected such cars, if he's going to ignore that abuse.
Some great rides there.1970 88 IIAComment

I think it was his intention to start some sort of museum, but something went very wrong for him
His collection site:
I'd love a few of them, but haven't got any money, and it's about 1000 km from where I liveComment

I have a 109" in my back yard right now. Yeah, I'd rather have it indoors, but I just don't have the space. At the same time, I don't want to sell it, I want to restore it, but like everything else it must wait right now (and it is not a rare vehicle).
I have way more cars and bikes right now than I need practically, but there's just something about them, and I like walking out into the garage and just seeing them there.
On the flip side, I have enough respect for the value of a rare car that I could never let those Rovers sit outside, especially the Tickford and AP 109". I would build a roof over them if I had to make it from plywood. Also, the vandalism should not have been tolerated.
I have great hope that these vehicles will eventually go to good homes, and be brought back to their glory days. The sad thing is that preservation is much easier than restoration. I really want one of those Shorlands. Please keep us posted on these vehicles, I really would like to know what kind of prices these go for.61 II 109" Pickup (Restomod, 350 small block, TR4050)
