    Head gasket

The ambulance decided to blow a head gasket on 495 on the way home from the winter romp. At least that is what I think went. Any thoughts on the best type head gasket? thanks Jim

Jim, Was that you making all that smoke? LOL.

Why do you think it's the head gasket? What's happening?

You can proform a compression test with all the spark plugs out, or better, a leak down test to pin point the bad cyl.

            dead cylinders

I can pull the plug wires off #1 and #2 with it running with little change. Do the same with 3&4 and it stalls.

              guess?

Would your guess be head gasket? No unusual mechanical noises, just the exhaust in the intake.

Yes, 99% head gasket. but, do a compression test.

Go with the fibre head gasket, when you get to it.
