I scored a truck cab from a friend that is in great shape, the only problem is I just have the top and rear part with no hardware or anything else. My truck is set up for a soft top now. What do I need to do to make it work? I test fit it the other day and could tell that the hooks on the top of the windshield need to be removed and the rear part didn't seem to sit right on the bottom. Is it possible to switch from soft top to truck cab and back again?

Yes it's possible to switch between soft top, truck and hard top and back, no problem, I switch between hard top and soft spring and autum, the top-windshield-rail has to be removed, to fit the truck cap or hard top, so you need to drill out the poprivets, replace with flatheaded screws. -
There is also a bottom spacer bit that needs to be in place for the the 88. The 88 requires it and the 109 is such that the p/u top just sits squarely on the rear bulkhead.Firemanshort

On my 88 I just stuff a blanket in there and it worked for years. I think rn has that part anyway if you need it.Comment
