    Light Bulb - Lucas 380

Is the Lucas 380 the same as the standard American 1157?

Recalling from my remembery, I think they are the same. An 1157 base bulb will work. Whether it is the same wattage is another question. I have replaced them in the past and they seem to do the job.

1157 is universally, the accepted replacement 12v stop/tail for vehicles, and will surely work in a Rover world.

Just because I wanted to postpone my chores a bit today, here is some internet research:

6/21 Watts Lucas 380 (Source: Nash Metropolitan collectors site)
8/27 Watts - Sylvania (Source: Taillight king - Dons bulbs)

Some other sites came up with similar values.
