    odd wheel out

had the rubber removed from all five rims on my ambulance project. hit them all with a coat of citrus strip and then power washed them. want to get 'em painted before mounting new tires. found one was a bit different and am wondering if any of you folks might know what the odd rim was originally on. it did not have the OD Green factory coat of paint, it was yellow. maybe that camel yellow. certainly not the limestone from the civi series. and it has these 3 little knubins that look like they might have held on a hub cap. the hole pattern is that of a series but this one has about a 1/4" more back spacing than the ex-mod rims and like my ex mod it's a rivetted 16 x 6.5" rim.

I currently have a set of four on my project with the 3 "knubins". I too thought it was for a dog dish style hubcap but do not know for sure.
