    liftgate/headliner

I have a standard SIII 88 that I am converting from a cargo door to a liftgate/tailgate. From a number of discussions I now know that I must remove/modify the back headliner/board. What are the proper sequence for removing the rear headliner? I do want to reuse it so I want to inflict the least amount of damage.
    Thanks
    Bob

From looking at my liftgate, you've got two curved pieces that the liftgate swings upon. I think it you cut out of section of the headliner to allow these to rest in the closed position you should be fine. It think you'll have to mount the liftgate and trace the section that needs to be cut way by closing the liftgate and marking the area it touches on the headliner.
