    SIIa running poor

I just got a SIIA. I looked at this truck last fall and it ran good.
Now it starts and idles good. As soon as you give it some throttle it wants to stall. I changed the fuel filter and ran some carb cleaner through it and there was some minor improvement.
Should the fuel filter be completly flooded when running? This one is about 7/8 full when running. I'm suspicious of the pickup tube being dirty or carb being dirty.
    Any thoughts?

My brother got a Rover once and it drove great. Then it developed a problem where it would drive fine and then conk out, then it would idle fine but not 'drive'.

We traced it to a fuel pump that was so gunked up with layer upon layer of dirt and oil that it would not pump through its entire range.

An inline 'modern' fuel filter or the sediment bowl fuel filter on the fuel pump? An inline modern fuel filter does not need to be full of fuel. If I remember correctly my sediment bowl pumps are almost always full when running.

I would also check the 'non-idle' jet in your carb for something jammed in there.
