This is the third time I have seen this color (or close to) on a Series truck. I know that the soft top pictured in the artist's rendering of the old SII / IIA brochure (with the farmer) was a darker blue, but did Rover ever offer this from the factory for the regular market? I know that RN trucks were close to this.

It's a nice looking truck, though I feel pretty comfortable in saying it's not an original Landy colour.
I wonder how in-depth a resto it was. Seems like the engine wasn't out of the truck, or maybe then they would have painted the whole bulkhead. You can clearly see it was originally pastel green. -

I gathered that it was a repaint, I just wanted to know if this was ever offered...based primarily on this:
A darker blue than MB looks like. Too bad - it's a really fetching color for a Series. Would look good with limestone wheels and a trop top in SW guise.Comment
