    Mid-Grey 109 Station Wagon

I'm looking for some pictures of 109's, preferably station wagons, painted mid-grey. I'm restoring my 109 SW, and I want to paint it the original color which is Mid-Grey. My wife wants it painted either Bronze Green, or Pastel Green. She wants to see what one looks like grey. Thanks.

Not a 109 wagon, but this gives you an idea of how a restored vehicle will look in Mid Grey. I like it.

Another vote for mid Grey. It has a very industrial era look to it.

I'm liking the mid-grey. You don't see it much.

Forget the grey. If the wife wants green, go green. Anything you can do to make her like the truck more will only work to your advantage later. If she actaully likes it, and feels like she was included in the process of fixing it up will make she'll be less sensitive to oil stains, spending money on parts, and being stranded on the side of the road. Besides, the grey looks like shiny primer.

Don't listen to Travis. If you try to involve your wife by letting her pick the color, all you're going to end up with is a Rover that she still hates in a color that you didn't want in the first place. Anything that you do to make her like the truck even a little more will only result in her wanting it as part of the divorce, and then you'll have to put up with the embarrassment of having her new boyfriend driving it around town.

            Go with the Mid Grey!!

The grey is nice, I like pastel green as well when faded a bit as is on mine. If it was gray originally I'd use that as the color; the solution is simple, buy her a green one.

It appears that Jac04 has come with an angle that did'nt occur to me at the time a made my first post. He's right, go with the grey.

Even though you made your decision here is something to help it along. A series 1 107 SW in 'export grey'
                        1958 107 SW - Sold to a better home
                        1965 109 SW - nearly running well
1966 88 SW - running but needing attention
                        1969 109 P-UP

If you show your wife amcordo's posts with his green rover and the girls it attracts, she will demand you paint it grey.
