Series III handbrake into a series IIa chassi

Was anyone able to do this conversion? I just realized that the series IIa handbrake location is different from the series III. I would like to keep the series III handbrake but do not know how to get around this little problem. If anyone did this conversion can you please let me know how?
    Thanks

the only significant difference is the bellcrank assembly. The handle should bolt in with no issues. Where are you running into problems?

The hand brake assembly is hitting the overdrive.

its close but should fit loosen bolts adjust and retighten. The cross bar is the same on the SIIA handbrake as well.

How about a IIa handbrake on a series III chassis? Any problems fitting this together? Im looking at a car that has this situation, and the current owner has not fit the handbrake yet. Any troubles with doing this?
