aluminum weight in a 109 wagon

Hi team, I am just wondering how much aluminum would tip the scales in a 109 wagon...I have a pretty reasonable offer from a scrapper for all the stuff that I advertised on here.......no takers, I am determined to clean up the yard before winter....I'm not sure of his intensions, if he is going to dismantle or bring the trac-hoe.. I hate to see this stuff get crushed, but he has cleaned up a few yards around here with the hoe & stacked them on a 40 foot trailer..gets about 8 or 10 on the truck & hauls to Baltimore, I think..
My question is: how much aluminum weight? Donnie
I spent most of my money on women & cars, the rest of it I just wasted.......

they wont give you anything close to your 5k asking. Aluminum has to be clean to get good prices. That stuff is full of steel bolts and fittings that would take many many hours to strip out. Id say there is 500 lbs worth of sheet aluminum in a 109 body. Prepared (stripped aluminum sheet) is approx 50 cents a pound AT the scrap yard. You MIGHT get 10 cents unprepared from a scrapper if he has to strip AND haul. Thats 50 bucks. Steel is $150 per ton. There is 3200 pounds of steel so he would get $240 selling. You might get $120 from him. So you have $170 bucks in scrap in a 109 5 door from a scrapper. I will take all your stuff have for scrap price, have it picked up, and what's usable will be made into rovers again. 541-six zero six-0095

I just stripped all the aluminum off so I could galvanize lots of frame parts. The only thing I didn't lift was the tub. Even knowing that I'd say there's closer to maybe 250lbs of aluminum. Even that might be liberal. It's got a lot of surface area, but there's really not that much.

I just stripped and scrapped a wrecked/rolled 88 body. It was 350 lbs. With standard roof. 109 SW with trop top would be more. Either way, its not much and they wont give you anything for it if it doesnt have every steel bolt fitting and rivet out of it.
