dent question

Firstly, this my initial attempt to add a photo or two. I have an early SIIA breakfast with a smooth dent by the light hole and I want your openions about the easiest way to fix it. I was thinking of heat and a block of wood and a hammer.

For steel, it is not that deep. I would place the unit upside down on some plywood, block of wood over the affected area and hammer it bit be bit until it has pushed back. May be crude, but I hate doing bodywork.
