Superwinch = Fairy?

I havent pulled it out of my 72 yet but the sticker says Superwinch. I read that they are the same as a Fairy?
Any info?

Superwinch bought the rights to make the Fairey unit. Supposedly, the later Superwinch housings are more robust and more desireable.

Yes. They went from Fairey (casting is marked Fairey Winch Ltd, Tavistock) to Superwinch to RDS (Casting is marked RDS) I don't think there is any difference between case castings. Internals are the same.
