    VIN#'s from 2 1964 2a's

    I have my family's rover 1964 2a 88 and I now have a donor 2a, also 1964.

    The vin #'s are:
    27402349B for my rover and
    24415903B for the donor.......

I thought my rover was built in late 1963 or early 1964..... Who knows, but is it safe to conclude that without regard to the exact date, the donor car was produced somewhat earlier?

    thanks.

The 274 means export diesel, the 244 means export petrol. More info is here, scroll down to the IIA section: http://www.lrfaq.org/Series/FAQ.S.Ch...bers.type.html
