Ok, I was tracking down the culprit that led to the loss of oil pressure in the extra 2.25 i have. I havent found anything that would lead me to believe it was something other than the oil pump;.
However upon closer inspection of the water passages in the block i noticed most were clogged with some serious gunk. I after poking around some more i found what appears to be a hole in a passage.
The following pictures show where it is.

Its inside the upper right hand water pump inlet passage.

Reference picture, notice the indexed plug center of picture.

Refer to the plug and just behind it you will notice a blob shaped hole with some silver around it. This is the hole i am referring to, it appears to be in the wall of the water passage and shouldn't be there.
My question is is it repairable or is the block junk?
Will a hole this small affect the cooling of the block or is it too small to worry about?
Thanks.
