    RN Clutch Brake res.

    RN,

More details on the Clutch Brake Res please. Looks good. Is it available in the original black finish?

    To paint, or not?

The thought was that some folks wanted it in crinkle finish, some in matt, some in gloss. Leaving it in natural finish, how the end product is finished is up to the owner....

So it is an exact replacement for the original?

Any ideas on how the original was finished? Looks like some sort of metal finishing as opposed to paint...

I've had it in my hands helping with the photography and is a very nice reproduction. It is as close as you can get to the original as supplied from Land Rover with the center tube and side exit. Having the new cap is clutch . Les is right, easier to leave the finish up to the owner. Who knows, may be someone wants it Tangiers Orange . Tasty little unit isn't it? I'll shoot some more detailed photos this next week.

The one on my II-A is just rust colored. It's impossible to say what the original color was on this car .

I don't think it was painted. I think it was a some sort of treatment similar to cad plating except black...
