Gasket Material Between Body and Frame...what to use

Hey all - I am putting my 109 back together and am wondering what I should use to replace the original rubbery gasket material between fram and aluminum body section...didnn't think camper foam tape would hold up and was wondering what other options people have used. Thanks for the input.

I go down to my industrial tire place and get an old inner tube from a skidder or something. You can sometimes get them for free if holes/tears are no matter. Tough and thick they are.

Might be misunderstanding your use of 'rubbery' but do you mean the putty? I've bought butyl putty from Vintage Trailer in the past. I think it's fairly similiar to original stuff in my opinion.

Moss Motors sells rolls of rubber that are about an inch and a half wide by however long you want to go between the body and frame of Triumphs, etc. Might work.

Mike- I think you need to be a little more specific about the application. The only pieces of rubber between the body & chassis that I am aware of are at the radiator support and at the rear tub supports. RN should have the ones for the rear tub supports.

Clarification on Needs for Gasket Material

Sorry for the confusion - what i am looking for, is probably better described as Putty. I am looking to replace the rubbery/putty material that was in place, specifically below and behind the seat bases.

That is what I used as well. Good stuff especially if you get a fresh box.

This is good stuff, one piece of advice though, store it in a cool place, if it gets too warm it's very difficult to work with (or get out of the package for that matter)

I use weather stripping rope caulk have for years. One brand is "Frost King" you can get it at lots of hardware places. It's non-hardening and cheap/does the job just fine.
