big tire on dished deluxe bonnet

i looked up the archives on this but i never saw a definate answer.
ive got 31 inch tires on my 88.
will 31s fit on the deluxe. bonnet?
i was thinking about getting one but not if it wont fit
could anyone throw a tape measure across a deluxe bonnet to get the measurement.

31 inch a big tyre??? You do know that 32 inch diameter tyres came standard on 109s don't you?

I'm currently running a 33 inch 255/85R16 mud terrain on my dished bonnet.

Yes, a 31" diameter tire will fit on the deluxe bonnet no problem. Your only issue may be tire width and blocking your view. Here are some pics of my old 63 (now ivarra's) with a 31" diameter 7.50x16 tire on the deluxe bonnet:

yeh ive got a 31 10.5 on flat bonnet now
so i figures a dished bonnet would bring it down an inch or so
looks funny on the flat bonnet

^^IIRC, the deluxe bonnet will keep the tire at the same height. The bonnet is just 'thicker' overall.

Hey guys
got my bonnnet from rn yesterday
took a trip up there. man its nice
lots of nice things.
i think i have to bring up the wings a little bit
quite a bit of space between the bonnet and wings.
i like it though.
