Series II parts interchange.

I have a customer who has purchased a solid S2a with headlamps in the wings. We're in search of a cowl vent flap control- will a S3 piece (346576) work? Also, the defrost vents are missing and I am not sure if there is supposed to be a finisher that covers the wiper linkage( single motor) for the vents to attach to? I don't have any complete cars here to reference so I'm turning my search here!

-SIII vent lifter will not work
-The defrost vents are plastic and mount to the trim panel that covers the wiper rack
-there is a trim panel that covers the wiper rack

These are pics of the dash in Dawn's late 109. The defroster vents attach to the cover over the wiper tube and gearboxes. I don't have any spares, but the cover could be fabbed from some flat aluminum.
