I've seen a few theads on the subject but nothing definative. I have.a "standard" bonnet not the deluxe version and I'd like to have a spare on it. How can I go about using the one I have with the spare tire on it? I know the parts are NLA, but have you all found another way of doing it? Are the Defender versions still made and if so will they fit a S2a? Thanks in advance!

I may have a complete setup for you. Pie plate, bolts, rubber bumpers. They all came off a series 3 standard bonnet.
I also have a deluxe that is dished if you would like. PM me if you're interested.Comment

What are the symptoms? The cold weather being like it is in Alabama... Could be the carb

It is a combination of the carb, fuel pickup getting clogged, and fuel filter getting clogged. Ive already dropped and cleaned the tank, just couldn't get everything out. So I try and change the fuel filter pretty often and clean it out that way. I will probably have to drop the tank again.WAR EAGLE!

I just had my curiosity jogged. For the past three years I have made the bolts and spare tire thing work by only using one bolt. the PO didn't have the correct parts so I have never seen how it is actually supposed to be. Can someone take an aerial shot of the correct way to mount the tire to the bonnet using the bolts?
