    Help!

I'm trying to be a good Land Rover steward by helping a friend remove the alternator on his '01 Disco. It seems the process is very simple. I've done some research but can't seem to find any good DIYs online.

Can someone tell me what type of Spanner is needed to release the tension on the belt tensioner?

Can you do it without a spanner?

    thanks!

It should be just like a late D1, just put a socket on the nut holding the idler wheel and apply pressure to bring it down with a breaker bar.
