    I would vote for yes. A $10 Fjord or Government Motors fender mounted Solenoid should work. Depending on how many spade connectors are on your posts you may have to swap the electrical spades to the new one.

      That is similar to what I used. I got a Ford style solenoid in my now 12v IIa.

        You don't need a 4-terminal solenoid unless you are using an external ballast resistor on your coil.(And, why would you be?) Just tell the nice man at the autoparts store you want a three-terminal solenoid.

          You can use a 4 terminal and just not use the 4th terminal too...so if thats all they have its another option.
