winch mounting question

    winch mounting question

    hi everyone
    i have a question about my winch plate
    to get it in the proper position it has to have about an inch of overhang
    is that ok

    Winch mount

    I would try and move it back, less leverage on an already not overly robust area.

      Besides the mounting of the roller fairlead what is keeping it from moving back between the fenders? Where you have it in the picture is leaving it susceptable to damage.

        Jim - From your picture i see you have an electric fan mounted ,did you do away with the belt driven ? Sorry for the hijack Aaron,good luck with the wench,I mean winch

          Fan

          I take the military fan off for the winter, and the electric fan really only ever comes on if we are really working it slowly off-road. Heats up faster that way, and the fan is heavy.
