    fuel pump storage

I was wondering what is the best way to store a spare fuel pump? I rebuilt one I had (had the kit) and tested it with kerosene, works fine.
It is a spare so I want to store it so it does not deteriorate. Currently has the kerosene on it.
    Thoughts?

I keep a 'dry' pump on my shelf, that I pack in the road-trip spares kit. I also carry two pump diaphragm seals.
