    Home made wiring harness

I bought a reproduction harness for my 109 from Autosparks a couple years ago and have it partially installed. In the mean time my rover knowledge increased and I have decided not to put to original harness but make my own. I'll detail each circuit here as I lay them out and complete them.

For anyone that is interested we have used these fuse boxes on a few rally cars:

http://order.waytekwire.com/productd...%20ATO%20FUSE/ reasonably priced, good number of fuses, and various power supply options.

Post up your info and progress! Ill be doing this on my restoration. My friend is an electrical /aviation engineer so we're using aviation grade stuff, but same principle; make it for my needs.

I do plan to do this as well on my 88. I think that the original stuff on mine have seen better days...I will also put somme bigger gauge wire in some area as well.

I did similar to this on my ser1, 88". I ran rear light wiring under the galvy cappings so none of it runs outdoors. ATC fuse block brings it into the last century and I ran 14 gauge wiring everywhere. Soldered and heat-shrink connections. Use dai-electric grease (Grote makes a good'un) on all connectors and sockets. If/when it heats up, it wicks up the copper braid and keep it from corroding the wire.
