How to flush contaminated oil from gearbox/transfer case

I sunk my truck this weekend and got water in the gearbox and transfer case. Drained them both and refilled before driving home and am now draining again and refilling. Is there any way to flush it besides just continuing to drain and fill?

i did this to my jeep once and remeber asking the same question..
IIRC, the only thing to do is fill/drain..
I used a lighter weight oil to really flow through the units and overfilled the tranny from the shift tower..
Still running the same tranny/Tcase with no issues to report..

Jiffy lube has some machine that flushes transmissions. Could take it there...

I used kerosene , over filled, ran the unit up on stands so as not to load the gears, you want it to slosh around an clean then drain & refill as soon as it stops dripping. Kerosene can be hard on weak seals.. Get some good oel in it & drive it around...Hiway driving slings the most oel.

              photos!

Drive it hard , get things hot and burn off any left over moisture, but first where are the photos?

I changed the oil a second time yesterday and a third time today, starting to look pretty good. One more change and all should be good. Water level was about halfway up the trans tunnel once the cab filled.

Oh, I see the problem. You shouldn't have stopped mid stream for a fish break.

                    good job!

Done worse than that, you will be fine. These things are not that delicate.

The best you can do is fill it with inexpensive oil, run it a while dump it etc like you have been doing. Hey I haven't seen any pics of your truck since you repainted it! Looks good- post some more if you have them! Where were you playing?

Just don't let the DFO know you fill your chassis with old oil for rustproofing.
