    SIII wiper motor question (ex-MOD)

    greetings,

    was wondering if anyone knew what the box was below the wiper motor was? its a former MOD SIII. ive looked in the green book but cant find it in wiring diagram (but its mod and probably not there). i cant get wipers to work. but there is 12V switched to pigtail on the wiper assy, but the wires then go into the box, then into the motor housing.

    is it a 24V step down? if so can i just cut wires from it to motor then wire to pig tail with 12V switched?

      I have that same box on my 71 exmod and was wondering the same thing.
      No such thing on the civys I've had/have.

          do your wipers still work on your exmod? iam feeling adventurous and just may cut the wires and try omiting the box..lol what do i have to lose... (famous last words)

          i took the box off and it looks like its resin filled from behind to seal the components up, kinda reminds me of the chrysler ignition modules on the old mopars. thanks for the reply on the post.
