    running a 82 degree thermo in the summer???

    Hello,
    Have been taking out the thermostat in the spring and installing it again in the fall do I need to run a cooler thermo in the summer or is the 82 fine??

    Don't know if it helps, but I run 88C all year round. My capillary temp gauge sits right at 88C indicated, year round too...

      I run a 192F stat all year round as well. Your cooling system has to be up to snuff or it won't cool properly, regardless of thermostat.

        82 deg. will be fine in the summer, or any time of the year for that matter. I'd be more concerned about removing the t-stat. Running too cool isn't good for it either.
