how long have you owned your Rover???

After reading a response on the topic land cruiser vs rover, of owning a series 2a for over 40 years, I was just curious how long members have owned their Rover...
mine..Series 3...2 going on three months...

but I have had MGB's for the past 40years, dont have one now...does that count?

I bought my first Rover, a 1963 IIA 88, back in about 1990 and owned it until 2007. I've only owned my current SIII Lightweight for about 3 years.

Now, not a Rover, but I own a 1968 Camaro that I was brought home from the hospital in after being born. I've been the official owner for 27 years. When all is said and done, that car will have been part of my life from birth to death. I'm currently at 42 years and counting...hopefully at least another 42 to go!

Bought mine in October of last year....so about 10 months. 4000 miles so far with just about no issues.

The others....10+ years for the MGB; 15 years for the MGBGT; 3 years for the Imp. I have no intention of selling any of them, Rover included.

Unfortunately, that means that due to time, space, and money, there will be no more classics added to the fleet

I've had mine three weeks now. It's my first Rover.

My last fun vehicle was an 89' Land Cruiser FJ62.

The oldest receipt I can find is dated 04/13/1999. So at least 12 years and 2 months. Though it has aged me well beyond that.....

I bought my 51 year old Land Rover March of 1978 so I've owned her 33 years.

I bought my 50 year old Triumph in 1986 so I've owned her for 25 years

I don't have any other cars.

My first Rover purchase was back sometime in the late 80's either '87 or '88 if I remember correctly. It was my '65 109. Didn't get to drive her til 96.

                      The '69 p-up was purchased in '98 I think.

                      Had the '66 88 since 2005

My first Rover was purchased in 1970 and I owned it until 1976. My current Rover was purchased in 2006 and except for a few weak moments have no intention of parting with it any time soon.

I bought my 1960 Series II 88 in June of 1975. Did a complete mechanical restoration (and lots of upgrades) for its 50th birthday.

First British vehicle was a 74 MGB (last of the chrome bumpers), which I still regret selling. Bought the Rover about three years ago. After spending the first two years tinkering and putting on band-aids I'm now in the process of a full rebuild on a new frame and with a rebuilt 300tdi. In another three years or so I might even be able to drive her again!

Speaking of, anybody want to buy a butchered 109 frame and a worn out 2.25 diesel?
