    Bolt-on vs. Weld-on Engine Mounts

Any reason I should not use bolt on engine mounts on this boxed frame?

I assume for engine conversion. Sleeve the mounting holes if you plan to use bolt on types.

I'm ignorant: can you be more specific regarding what you mean by "sleeve the mounting holes"?

You weld a piece of tube between the inner and outer frame so it doesn't crush when you tighten up the bolts.

It's way more effort and far less forgiving if you use bolt on mounts. If you use welded ones, and you install them in the wrong spot, you can just cut them off and redo them. As noted above bolted mounts need sleeves welded into the frame.
