I was rehabbing my transmission brake components. The relay bushing is made of lead. I have done a few of these and they were brass (or bronze) Is this a PO modification? It is way to tight also.

All the ones I have seen have been phosherous-bronze, though I did see one many years ago made of plastic, that did not last very long !
Be carefull with the lead, though I would think that it would be too soft for the purpose.
