    1 5/16" box wrench

So, I find it exceedingly odd that both my Rovers came with a 1 5/16" box wrench. One was actually a torque adapter, the other a box end wrench.

I've not needed that size thus far in my repairs. Am I lucky, or have I not yet broken that part that has this sized nut.

I would guess that you have/had a fairey capstan winch. If so, I believe that the drive dog is 1 5/16".

Ahhh....but I don't have that. Hmmm....me thinks there might yet be another application? Perhaps an internal transmission part?

What size wrench does the starter dog take? Could that be it?

          2 and 1/16" or 43mm

But the PO could have modified the starter dog to take a 1 and 5/16". That's easy enough to find out...
