    Identifying SIII transmission suffix.

This unit was an FRC200R military rebuild unit. There are no other markings as to what suffix it is. They layshaft has several broken teeth on it and needs to be replaced. The only telling thing is the marking on the layshaft itself. I do not have the D style synchro hub and spline dog teeth. Does anyone know how to differentiate between SIII suffix gearboxes?

Speedo is still attached. Havent found the snips to cut that thing off. So here are some known facts about the gears. The reverse idler is on a bearing, definitely a bearing. So I think that rules out suffix A. There were two loose washery things mounted to the rear of the reverse gear, probably not right. The later style internal splining of the 1st / 2nd hub is not present either.

Edit: George at RDS saved the day by counting the teeth on the layshafts over the phone. Turns out that 1st gear at the back of the layshaft has 14 teeth on suffix A and 16 on suffix B.
