"Working in the Wild" Manual

I purchased the "Workig in the Wild", Land Rovers manual for Africa a few months ago. It deals with Defenders mainly and only has a few pieces regarding Series rovers. My question is was the same book previously published with its focus on Series Rovers? The book says its a "revised edition".

Yes, the original was all about the series Land-Rover. So, start looking at used book sites to get that one.

What year was your working in the wild book for series rovers published? The earliest I am finding is 1996 which is for the defender by the looks of it.

I have a feeling that early on Rover felt that the normal Rover manual 'sufficed' in regards to working in the wilds.

I would also like to get an earlier "Working in the Wild" book with series rovers. No hate on Defenders, but the older one with series trucks is more relevant to my needs.
