While doing a power steering conversion on a S111,can an early Defender steering column (say 1986) be substituted for S111 column?

I think you'll have to change the wheel as well to a D wheel. Maybe not since LOTS of s3 stuff crosses over to early D. I'm going to just graft a standard issue RRC shaft onto my 2A shaft.
In the last go-round I grafted the bottom of a Scout shaft to the 2A column. Worked a treat, but now the Scout stuff is going out in favor of RRC steering box. -
trading scout for RRC? Why? Scout seems like a much better box.Comment
