I gave a colleague of mine a ride home in my SIII (we were in Calgary at that time). She had grown up in rural England. Her first comment when we got in and started out was, "I feel like I'm a little girl again in my Dad's Rover." She hadn't been in a Rover in 30 years, but it all came back in a rush I guess. They all smell and sound the same.

You know you're driving a series rover when...

          ...your 'driving gloves' are these:

          11 degrees outdoors and falling...

              - It's either you stand still for 5 seconds at stop signs (first gear sync)... or you don't stop at all for staying in second...

the best part of driving a series rover, (and meeting the GENERAL public) is when someone actually knows what it is, knowing the model is even better, and coming close to the year is awsome, although this event is rare, it makes me stop where I am and stop to talk wherever and whenever I am out and about. Cheers all.

....you walk past your exhaust and intake manifolds on a table in the garage as you get into your daughter's Jeep to drive to work.

Yup! I knew about this little trick... But still, the whole process takes a few seconds.
