    Radiator cap

Looking for a radiator cap with 13-14 lb. I noticed my series cap says 9 lb.Would an early defender cap fit a series ? Anyone got experience with this.

    cap pressure

From the Book; "early models were designed to run at 10Lbs.....later at 9lbs..."

Over pressurizing could lead to solder failure or worse.

Easy part to order. Just get a new one from the forum providers.

Take your existing cap down to your local auto parts store and tell them you want a [whatever]-pound cap just like the one you're holding. I did this just this morning. Seven bucks. No need to get a $40 Defender special.

Yeah, I've always bought a Stant at the local parts store. Don't know the PN.
