    Trans oil ?

I want to change the gear oil in my 109. I have heard I shouldn't use regular ol' gear oil, if I do it will attack the bronze bushings. What is a good oil to use?

If you are worried about yellow metal attack due to the EP additives used in some GL-5 gear oils, then go with CRC Sta-Lube 85W90 GL-4 available at NAPA.

        Lance:

Our hosts sell Amsoil Gear Lube, and specify that it is appropriate for Series gearboxes, transfer cases, swivels and axels.

I have used it for 20 years with no problems, but with much satisfaction - especially in the winter.

Just my experience. Other readers may have a different opinion.
